There is a common opinion that only very wealthy persons or organizations can be sponsors, but it is not so – anybody can take a part in solving issues of great social importance. Brief information on "ASSISTANCE" foundation
The goal of St. Petersburg regional social charity foundation "ASSISTANCE" is the charitable support of orphaned and neglected children, as well as for the families of guardians and foster parents.
The objects of "ASSISTANCE" foundation:
Assisting orphaned children in getting education, getting quality summer vacation, receiving medical help;
Assisting in providing legal help and counsel for orphans;
The organization of summer camp and medical-related travel abroad for orphans;
The development and launch of charity programs and projects;
The assistance to the governmental bodies and organizations in providing legal defense to orphaned children;
the attraction of voluntary donations;
The establishment and development of liaisons with similar organizations in Russia and abroad.
The target group: orphaned and neglected children living in orphanages, shelters, asylums and other social establishments, as well as in low-income foster families.

Charitable program "Legal Defense"
The object of this program is the procurement of free legal counsel to orphaned children, foster parents, families with many children, single mothers, children with inborn disabilities. The program provides the organization of appointments of the qualified lawyer in the foundations office.
Charitable program "Support"
The object of this program is providing moral, financial, legal and other types of help to orphaned children, children living in orphanages and children living with foster parents, and attracting the society attention to the problems of orphaned children.
Charitable program "Health"
The object of this program is the assistance in maintaining sound physical and emotional health of orphaned children, living in foster families, the advertisement of healthy life style and prophylaxis of flu and seasonal colds.
Charitable program "Sun for all"
The program object is providing the summer vacation in summer health and fitness camps for orphaned children. The program provides the purchase of vouchers (fares and tuition) to such camps for orphaned children.
Charitable program "School tomorrow"
The program goal is assisting in preparing for the new school year for the orphaned children. The program provides the purchasing of school supplies, textbook, sport uniforms and shoes for orphaned children.
Charitable program "Holiday for every family"
The program goal is the creation of festive atmosphere for the kids in the holiday season for the celebration of New Year and Christmas holidays, the creation of conditions, where an orphaned child wouldnt feel like a second-rate person. The program provides the purchase of holiday gifts and the organization of festivities.
Charitable program "Birthday the childhood holiday"
The program goal is to help the foster families organize the celebrations of birthdays for orphaned children. The program provides the purchase of presents and catering for the festive birthday party dinners for kids.
Charitable program "Help"
The program goal is the emergency financial and other assistance to the foster families and families with many children. The attraction of popular opinion, through mass media, to the problems of orphaned children and families with many children, the help in finding sponsors for families with many children.
Charitable program "Relaxation breathing"
The goal of this program is the teaching of relaxation breathing technique for children; the relaxation breathing helps strengthening the organism, improve the immunity, the correction of vegetative disorders and ensures the lowering of sickness rates levels four-fold.
Charitable project "The rehabilitation center for runaway children"
The object of this project is the creation of the rehabilitation center for neglected runaway kids, the main goal of which center will be the creation of social defense, medial, psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation and social adaptation of homeless and runaway children.
Charitable program "Participation"
The goal of the program is in providing the psychological, legal, and financial assistance to former graduates of orphanages and boarding schools for orphaned children. The program provides assistance in getting vocational education and finding employment.
CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS
Charitable program "Cultural initiative"
The program goal id the aesthetic development for orphaned children, raising good St. Petersburg citizens, who know and love their hometown. The program includes the organization of excursions on major St. Petersburg sites, theme excursions in palaces, parks, and suburban residencies, museum visits and seeing theater shows.
Charitable program "Young artist"
The program goal is the raising of the spiritual and cultural level of orphaned children through involving them in the process of artistic creation. The program provides the creation of an art class for orphaned children, the organization of excursions to painting galleries, bringing out talented students and assisting them in furthering professional artistic education.
Charitable program "Student"
The program goal is the assistance to orphaned children who wish to apply to academic institutions and universities of higher education. The program provides paying fees for the prep courses, purchasing textbooks and course materials, etc. as well as paying monthly stipend to students showing outstanding academic achievements in the colleges of St. Petersburg.
Charitable program "Computer literacy"
The program goal is teaching the orphaned children the basic of computer work on PC, programming, Internet basics. The program provides the creation of the computer class for free education of orphaned children, and also bringing out bright and interested students and further assisting them in developing computer-related career path.
Charitable program "Know your fatherland"
The program goal is bringing orphaned children closer to study of Russian state and history in general, the development of kids intellectual and cultural level. The program provides the creation of historical club based at "Sodejstvie" foundation, organizing excursions in St. Petersburg and suburbs, bringing out the most interested kids and further assisting them in getting education.
Charitable project "Childrens drawings contest"
The goal of this project is searching for and supporting talented kids, residing in orphanages, boarding schools for orphans, social establishments or living with foster parents. The aesthetic education of orphans. Involving kids into the creative art process.
Charitable program "Raising literacy levels"
The program goal is the heightening the level of literacy among orphaned children, involving kids in reading more literature, or Russian and foreign classics. The program provides the creation of special courses targeting the heightening of literacy level rates.
Charitable program "Spiritual renaissance"
The program goal is the spiritual education of orphaned children, bringing them closer to the Orthodox history, the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
